Well, ladies and gents...I am taking the plunge...the blogging plunge! I decided since everyone else is doing it, I might as well try it out.
Update on the Hamilton's...
After a long year of slaving away we are almost done building our home. Yes, for those of you who don't know, it has taken us a full YEAR to build a home. We started out splitting an acre lot into two half acres. Oh what a mess that was; 7 months later, and every one of our neighbors hating us, we finally had a building permit. Needless to say not one of our neighbors were happy that we were splitting the lot so, they all took us to countless city council meetings to fight the issue. We were approved to split the lot so...now we are keeping our distance...waiving as we past is as friendly as we have gotten.
We finally got started with the building process last September. Travis, being the great hard working husband he is, decided he wanted to do a lot of the work himself. He wanted to general it himself, which saves lots of money but, is a lot of work and follow up. That is not all, he used to make cabinets for a living so, he wanted to build our cabinets and do all the finish work. WOW, what a project we took on there. Working his full time job then coming home to do his house duties was more than I expected. I never see him any more! He goes to work before I wake up and comes home after I have gone to bed. That has been our life for the past 6 months. We can't wait until this is over! Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
